If you have too many or too few resources, this one's not for you. It is for those of us who can make a choice and stretch budgets. We live in times where we can get phones for as little as 10,000 Rs while still retaining a 90Hz display or you can look at the other side of the spectrum where there are phones over 150,000 Rs. This blog will really dive into how much you should actually spend on a phone in a way that the experience is not compromised and is of superior quality in every aspect.

Let's get iPhones out of the way first. As I have said time and again, don't buy an iPhone older than a year. You would be better off flushing money down the drain. Conclusively, you need at least 55-70K for a modern iPhone. But you sure as hell can bet on it for being fantabulous. It would be faster than any Android phone at least by a generation or two. You will get incredible software support and Apple has made leaps and bounds in the battery department in the last couple of years. The camera and display are top-notch (pun for the screen) as expected. You will have an absolutely great time using the iPhone.

Don't even bring the thought of buying something like an SE into your mind. I don't even consider it a smartphone anymore. It is so outdated in every aspect except processing power. You will honestly regret dumping 50K on a phone so despicable. Despite technology has gotten so much cheaper, it is essentially trading for the same price as iPhone 6,6s and 7. All of these were the same devices to be honest. There was little separating them from one another.

For Android, it is a bit of a messy bag. You have phones of all shapes, sizes, specifications, prices, focus points and gimmicks. But I feel that this is the beauty of it - the wide and ever-expanding range of phones to choose from. It ensures that there is something for you and does best what is most important for you. What's even more fascinating is that the Android market is always being flogged with new devices but that makes it a bit intimidating to choose one from a plethora of options.

I strongly believe that you can get a brilliantly capable Android device for 45-60K. There are honestly so many brands to choose from - Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi or Vivo. 5000mah battery, 120Hz display, 108-megapixel camera, 60W fast charging and 2 years of software support are the norm here. There is very little that can possibly go wrong with a package so wholesome. You may not get that final finesse and ultra-luxury feeling but they will do the job just fine and will continue impressing you along the way. This price range is the sweet spot of the sweet range. It is almost fool-proof.

PRO TECH TIP: Buy Apple silicone cases from local shops. You can get them for around 250Rs and are way better than any other kind of cases

NOTE : I have been getting a lot of E-mails regarding this so I want to address it. Ever since March-April, the likes are not registering on my blog for some reason. I believe they are not being accepted at all now. I had reached out to the technical team at Wix but there has been no improvement. Kindly bear with me.
