THE RISE OF SMARTWATCHES

You see them everywhere; they are often called computers on the wrist and have exploded in popularity in recent years. Smartwatches are very prevalent and useful for working professionals and college students. Thanks to indigenous and Chinese brands flocking the market, there are a lot of options available which offer useful features for surprisingly low prices.

The Apple Watch is undoubtedly the tyrant both in terms of features and market share. That is why all manufacturers copy the design in form of digital crowns, colors and shapes.

Smartwatches offer a lot of conveniences, especially to those whose jobs require traveling and moving. Taking a few short calls from the wrist itself is a breeze and now you can even stream music by directly connecting wireless buds to the music library in the watch itself.

I cannot begin to emphasize how many times I have dismissed important reminders along with necessary notifications. People with a lot of E-mail activity will appreciate having new E-mails at their fingertips.

Advanced features like those available in Apple Watch such as ECG, blood oxygen, sleep tracking, always-on display, fall detection and automatic emergency calling are exclusive to expensive watches.

But if you want to just get the fundamental right heart rate sensor, calorie and sports activity recording, calling and messaging with a few gimmicks here and there. Then I don’t really feel that you need an Apple Watch unless you have extra money or absolutely need to use these features.

Brands such as Boat offer good value for many products. Battery life is great for must but this is something I cannot say for Apple Watch, especially the older ones.

You may or may not like the feeling of the strap on your hand but you can be pretty sure you are just going to see more of them.
