WHY SAMSUNG OFFERS LESS FOR MORE

Take a 20,000Rs Samsung phone and a similarly priced Xiaomi phone. You will take only a few seconds to notice that Chinese phones look more futuristic and generally offer more in terms of features, materials and hardware. This is done intentionally and obviously not because Samsung wants be thought of as an inferior device with less specifications. But it is all worth it as most of the time, specs are not everything and there a lot more important things at play.

As Mrwhosetheboss pointed out in one of his videos, these Chinese phones are full of bloatware, ads, bugs and hidden trackers that offset these costs. The smartphone space is a show and competitive business space. It is imperative to make headlines with gimmicky features such as 100X zoom, 150W charging, OIS, color-changing brick, and 144Hz display. 

These are features that tempt you to make an impulse purchase as they look striking on paper. But to be brutally blunt, at the end of that day, it is the actual software experience and emphasis on privacy and security that actually make a difference. What’s the point of the sharp 108-megapixel camera if the photos can be accessed by the Chinese Government, Chinese brands, Meta and Google?

Samsung cuts no slack to ensure and tries to maximize your security with the introduction of features like Knox Security. Since these features are costly affairs, they cut costs in hardware and features. They may be costly but seem to working very well in Samsung's favor as they sell more smartphones worldwide in a year than any other brand and have been in existence at the pinnacle for over a decade while a lot of their competitors have become outdated.

I would merrily take a hole punch camera phone with a 5000 MAH battery and 108-megapixel phone for “less good “ specs if they go above and beyond to ensure what I care about the most is upheld.
